DealScout
Buy for $5

FAQ

Questions people ask before they pay $5.

How DealScout finds your deal, how a friend gets it for $4, and how to claim your free test. Short answers, no fine print.

How it works

How DealScout works.

What exactly do I get for $5?

One deal search. You tell me the item and what you want to spend, I send you the best deal I can find: the item, the price, and the person or website to buy it from. One payment of $5 — no subscription, no account, nothing recurring.

How does the AI find the deal?

It checks sellers and websites you can actually trust, then I send you the best one. If I can't tell whether a seller is trustworthy, I don't send it to you.

When and how do I get it?

Within 24 hours of telling me what you want to buy, by message — the item, the price, and where to buy it.

What if I'm not happy with the deal?

“If you are not happy, I will give you a refund.” That's the guarantee, in writing. You pay $5, I send you a deal you are happy with — or your money comes back to you.

Who is behind DealScout?

I'm a 12 year old who started DealScout to help people find good deals from people or websites they can trust.

The $4 invite

How the $4 friend invite works.

How does a friend get it for $4?

After you pay, open the "Give a friend $1 off" box in the Pay section and tell me what your friend wants to buy. The AI writes them a personal invite, and your link charges them $4 instead of $5.

Does sharing it cost me anything?

No. The invite writer and the link are free to use — sharing costs you nothing, and your own price stays $5.

Who can use my $4 link?

It's the same checkout at $4 instead of $5, so send it to a friend who hasn't bought DealScout yet.

Do I have to write the invite myself?

No — that's what the writer is for. Type your friend's name and what they're looking for, and you can edit the note before you send it.

Is there any other discount?

No. $1 off through a friend's link is the only discount that exists. The price on this page is always $5.

Free test

How to get your free test.

What is the free test?

One deal, free, before you pay anything. One item, one deal — no payment and no account needed first.

How do I claim one?

Open the free-test form on the home page, tell me one thing you want to buy, then press "Send my request". That opens your email with your request already written — you just press send.

When does the free deal arrive?

Within 24 hours, sent the same way as a paid deal.

Do you keep my details?

The free-test form doesn't save anything. Your request only reaches me when you press "Send my request" in your own email app.

What happens after the free test?

You decide. If the deal was useful, the same service for anything else you want to buy is $5.

Still want to try first?

One free deal, no payment — or pay $5 and tell me what you want to buy.
